MISSION STATEMENT:

The Mission of Sherman Jr. High is to prepare ALL STUDENTS to succeed in a rapidly changing society. We accept the responsibility and accountability for providing a challenging, standards-based, technologically enhanced curriculum within a safe, supportive, and positive school setting.

Announcements:

- E-MISSIONS PHOTO GALLERY is now online. All 8th Grade Science classes participated in E-Missions on 4/23, 4/24, and 4/25. Click here to see the photos.

- ARCHERY PHOTO GALLERY is now online. We would like to thank our partners in making this program possible: Viper Archery Products, Carey, Scott, & Douglas PLLC, Robinson & McElwee PLLC, Kent & Georgette George, Loop Properties, LLC - Owners: Rashid Brothers of Charleston, and Keith & Martha Smith.

- SPORTS PHOTO GALLERIES are available now. Click here for the following photo galleries: Football, Boys Basketball, Cheerleading, and Baseball. Softball & Girls Basketball will be up next week.

- Take a Kid to Dinner will took place on Thursday, 4/24 at Scott High School. Congratulations to the following students who represented SJHS at the event: Matt Long, Savannah Kirk, Jeremy Hensley, and Kellsie Halstead.

- Baseball Team and Softball Team Rosters have been updated. The baseball and softball schedules have both been updated.

- The school raised nearly $1,500 for Pennies for Patients. Congratulations to Ms. Griffith's Homeport for bringing in the most and to Mr. Riggs' Homeport for bringing in the second most. Both Homeports received a pizza party on 4/11.

- Congratulations to Branson Beach, who placed 2nd place on the individual Math Field Day test. Also, congratulations to the 7th and 8th Grade Math Field Day Teams for placing 2nd place in the team competitions. Click here for more information!

- Team Photos have been added to the Basketball section.

- Faculty Changes - With the new semester beginning, SJHS will be saying goodbye to Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. Lawrence. We will miss them both and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. At the same time, we are excited to welcome Ms. Peros back to SJHS! We also would like to welcome Mr. Pettry to Sherman Junior High School!
