MISSION STATEMENT:

The Mission of Sherman Jr. High is to prepare ALL STUDENTS to succeed in a rapidly changing society. We accept the responsibility and accountability for providing a challenging, standards-based, technologically enhanced curriculum within a safe, supportive, and positive school setting.

Announcements:

-HONOR BANQUET - Sherman Junior High School's Annual Honor Banquet will take place on Thursday, May 21st at 5:00pm.

-STATE MATH FIELD DAY WINNER - Congratulations to Samantha Garretson for receiving 1st Place at the WV State Math Field Day. She is the first student ever from SJHS to accomplish that feat.

-TAKE A KID TO DINNER - The following students represented SJHS at Take a Kid to Dinner on April 23rd: Grant Kellione, Allison Gray, Kassie Kinder, and Eric Miller. Congratulations to those students.

-MATH FIELD DAY - Congratulations to our students that represented SJHS at Math Field Day! Samantha Garretson placed first on the individual test. Thomas Bowles placed third on the individual test. Both our 7th and 8th Grade Teams placed 2nd in the Team Competition.

-PENNIES FOR PATIENTS - Thank you to all of the students who participated in our annual Pennies for Patients Drive. Congratulations to Mr. Riggs/Mr. Turley's Homeport, who brought in the most money.
