Regulations and Application Form

- REGULATIONS-

The purpose of the Liberty High School Bands “Mike Perri Music Education Scholarship” program is to annually recognize and encourage one outstanding Liberty High School band senior that is pursuing a college degree in music education. Presentation of this scholarship will be based on the candidate’s musical accomplishments, scholastic achievement, potential for success in the teaching profession, expression of professional goals, philosophy of music education, and personal qualifications.

The amount of each annual scholarship will be $500. A selection committee shall offer no more than one award annually. The decisions of the Scholarship Selection Committee will be final and cannot be appealed in any fashion. The scholarship will be presented directly to the winning candidate at the annual band banquet, typically held each year in May. All winners, in order to receive their scholarships, must promise to attend an accredited institution of higher learning, pursue a bachelor’s degree in music education, and obtain a bachelor’s degree in music education. The winner must return the award if he/she fails to obtain a bachelor’s degree in music education.
