Hours of Operation:
7:30-11:15 and 11:45-3:00
on school days
3:30-4:30 on GEAR-UP After
School Program days by appointment
(check with Mrs. Brake
ahead of time)
Computer Lab Use:
Students may schedule lab
time as their schedules/teachers permit. All students
using the Internet MUST
have an Acceptable Use Policy on file. If a student
needs an Acceptable Use
Policy, they may pick one up at the library.
Book Check Out Policy:
All students are eligible
to check out books. Generally, books are on loan for
a 2-week time period.
Exceptions can be made for books loaned for research
purposes. Books may
also be renewed.
Library Rules:
•
Search for books quietly. Students are studying.
• No
running, horseplay or rough housing.
• Do
not bother the property of others.
•
Abide by all lab rules-no eating, no drinking, no e-Mail and no
online chat.
| Information Distribution Policy |
It is our responsibility as the Tygarts Valley Middle/High School Library to promote intellectual freedom by providing access to a wide variety of information and ideas to all persons regardless of origin, beliefs, or age. It is necessary as a school library to adhere to the Library Bill of Rights established by the American Library Association by not removing any information from the library that is unpopular, unconventional, or unacceptable. We will cooperate with all persons or groups that wish to challenge this policy of free expressions and access to ideas, but will continue to define what is appropriate for all students and teachers to read, view, or hear. |
