  • We, the staff of Taylor County Middle School, firmly believe that all children must learn. We can enable them to make the transition from elementary to high school successfully by offering them an orderly environment conducive to learning and a flexible curriculum designed to meet the needs of our rapidly changing society.

  • We will endeavor to provide our students with experiences and opportunities for self-discovery through exploratory classes designed to enrich academic curriculum.

  • We will provide opportunities for interaction between peers and adults to develop and enhance positive self-concepts, decision-making  skills, and good citizenship.

  • We will provide opportunities for the development of psychomotor skills, concepts of sportsmanship, and lifelong recreational activities through our physical education and intramural programs.

  • We believe that the school must meet the needs of the immediate community it serves. Therefore, the school, home, and all facets of that community must share in the preparation of youth for the responsibilities of adulthood.

  • We have accepted a commitment to excellence in providing a quality education for our students. We, the staff, are committed to preparing our students for the responsibilities of adulthood, the development of life skills, and planning for further education and employment.
