Why aren't Cheerleaders on the Danceline?

During the past several years the Danceline has developed into an award winning competition dance team, and the Varsity Cheerleaders have become the 2005 WV State Champions! Being a competition team of this caliber requires much time and dedication. Due to conflicts in rehearsal, performance, and competition schedules, it is necessary that a choice be made between being a member of the Danceline or the LHS Cheerleading Squad.

In addition to the regular band camp fees, each Danceline member is responsible for purchasing field shoes, marching boots, jazz pants, jazz shoes, tights, red and blue shorts, a Danceline t-shirt, “cuddle-duds”, and warm-ups. Dancers will also need to purchase a pair of Keds style white tennis shoes, white gloves and white ear warmers.
