I graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1970 with honors. I then went to Thiel College where I graduated in 1974 with a History major with elementary certification. I received my Masters in Education Administration from West Virginia University in 1981 and a 1989 graduate from the West Virginia Principal's Academy. I was an Assistant Principal at Webster Springs Elementary School for 6 years, Principal at George Ward Elementary for 4 years, Principal at Elkins Junior High for 4 years, and have been Principal at Elkins Middle School for the past 4 years. I am the National Association of Secondary Schools Principals Principal or the Year for 1996-1997.
