Kindergarten at Belington Elementary is a 5-day, all-day program.  In the fall, teachers invite the children and their parents to an orientation in the classroom.  A strong emphasis is placed on phonics instruction.  Small group instruction allows for individual needs to be met.  With our new Math Initiative, our students will continue to be engaged in using critical thinking skills as they use hands-on materials.

Computers in our classroom allow for more individual usage time to meet our 21st Century learning goals.

Some special annual events include our Mother Goose theme, culminating in a dress-up day, multi-cultural Thanksgiving feast, and partnering with 5th grade buddies for monthly learning experiences.
