The Barbour County Board of Education met in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007, at the Volga-Century Elementary School, Volga, West Virginia.
Patrick Jones, President, presided; Brian Kisamore, Jerry Phillips, Greg Nestor and Brad Robinson, Jr., Members, and Deede Lundeen, Secretary, were present. Also in attendance were: Doris Mundy, Cami Watkins, Trudy Skidmore, Luella Saffle, Rita Streets, Nancy Burner-Ware, Marjorie George, Rex Freeman, Jeff Kittle, James Poling, Susan DeLong, Flo Wilkins, Benjamin Simmons, Elaine Benson, Glenn Sweet, Linda Menear, David Boyd, Linda Watson, Autumn Queen, Karen Boone, Whitni Kines and Cheryl Hawkins.
Mr. Jones called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Kamian Bartlett led the pledge to the flag.
A motion was made by Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Nestor and passed five (5) to zero (0) to accept the addendum.
A work session was held from 5:35 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with Volga-Century Elementary School Local School Improvement Council, presenting information to the board
The following delegations addressed the board:
Elaine Benson provided information to the board concerning Substance Abuse/Violence Prevention Program from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Phillips
made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 18, October 8 & 9,
2007 meetings. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Nestor and passed five (5) to zero (0).
1. Recommendation: Approve budget adjustments.
